Specialised Category RegistrationThe Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA) has ruled that all specialised estate agency firms must now be registered with the PPRA and must hold a Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC) in their specific category.

These categories include:

  • Managing Agents
  • Auctioneers
  • Developers
  • Business Brokers
  • Intermediaries and Facilitators
  • Homeowners’ Associations (HOAs) conducting property activities
  • Timeshare providers
  • Property Advertising Platforms
  • Bond and Bridging Finance Originators
  • Payment Processing Agents

If your business falls into one of these categories, you are legally required to comply!

We also understand that there is no formal education pathway yet available for your specialised category. You are not required to appoint a Principal Property Practitioner at this time. However:

  • Any staff member who interacts with the public or handles trust account funds must hold a valid FFC.
  • Directors must hold a FFC.  Even directors who do not interact with the public or manage trust accounts still require FFCs as non-executive directors.

Once-Off Setup Fee – R7 000

Includes company and employee registrations up to 5 employees, for a period of 6 months.

If your firm has more than 5 employees, an additional R450 per employee will apply.

Please note: PPRA fees are not included.

Optional Add-Ons

  • Trust Account Exemption – R1 000
  • Non-Executive Director Exemption – R1 000/director

Monthly Membership

After the initial 6-month period, you can continue with our Monthly Membership at R200 per month.

If your firm has more than 5 employees, an additional R50/employee per month will apply.
