Would I have my own website, or would the properties be advertised on the PPS website and Prop24?
You will place your properties onto the Property24 platform, and that, in turn, will pull through to the PPs platform.
Does it feed through to Private Property as well?
We have not had any agents requesting that we link to Private Property as yet, but we will investigate this option.
Is Prop24 included in the com % that PPS takes?
Yes, you may advertise on the basic package. Should you want added features you will have to pay that extra cost and the cost of photos and videos.
If I want to feature a property would I do it through PPS and pay yourselves or go directly to Property 24?
You would pay PPs, and we, in turn, will pay the supplier.
Do PPs help us generate leads?
Property 24 has a lead-generating feature which you will have access to at no extra cost. We are investigating subcontracting to a lead generator and there would be costs applied to that.
I presume I will get the artwork for Boards, business cards and whatever other printing I need?
Yes, we will supply you with the artwork at a very reasonable price.
Do PPs make and deliver the boards to me at my cost?
No, you can use your own supplier.
Would you supply all the documentation with the PPS logo for me to print?
Yes, we supply all contracts and related documents which must be used.
Do I track my own rentals and sales?
Once you complete any PPs contract, you must email or share a copy with PPs. Once the sale or rental is confirmed, PPs track the transaction through registration and handover.
What commission split will I fall under?
Detailed commission splits will be discussed with you via email once contact has been made.
Who pays me my commission?
The transferring attorney will pay your commission directly into your bank account within two days of registration of the transfer as long as there are no discrepancies.
Does PPs deduct SARS tax from my commission?
PPs offer a management service and do not pay your tax to SARS. This is your responsibility, and we suggest you obtain a tax directive from SARS, but your accountant will advise you.
Am I classed as an independent contractor?
Yes, you are.
When do I receive my commission?
Within two days from registration of transfer of the property into the purchasers name.
Who pays me my referral commission?
This is paid by the transferring attorney directly to you.
How do I track referral commissions due to me?
We supply a management system to log into and track your commissions.
Is the referral commission earned by another agent on my sale deducted before I get paid?
The transferring attorney will pay all agents separately at the time of registration of transfer.
Does the referral commission due to another agent on my sale come off my commission?
No, the referral commission is deducted from PPServices.
If I am on a normal package where I work under the Principal Property Services banner, is mentoring part of that package?
Yes, it is.
Can I have more mentoring time if I need it?
You can. This will be planned in your initial meeting as part of your personal solution.
If I need advice to negotiate a deal, is this time deducted from my monthly mentoring time?
No, we are here to assist you with any questions relating to sales during normal business hours.
Do we have to attend training sessions?
Training sessions are not compulsory, but we urge you to attend as many as you can.
Is training recorded so we can listen to it in our time?
We will have recorded training for you to catch up on.
Can we ask for training on a particular subject?
We encourage you to ask for training in a topic where you need to expand your knowledge.
Is training part of the regulated training set by the PPRA?
No, the training that we offer is directly related to helping you in the field.
If I need assistance with the PPRA, does PPs give this to me as part of my package?
We will give you the tools to become compliant and ensure that you do become compliant, but we will not liaise with the PPRA on your behalf.
I only need compliance, I don’t need to work under PPs. Will you guarantee my compliancy?
We will give you due notice of compliancy regulations and give you the tools you need to become compliant but we will not guarantee your compliancy.
I have an agency with three agents working with me. Will the fee for annual compliancy cover my agents compliancy as well?
This is a personal solution that will be applied when you register under the PPServices umbrella.
